Starting the Legacy

Collette returned home from her travels a new woman with renewed purpose and meaning. She was ready to begin her personal mission of creating a strong, close-knit family that would continue long after she was gone. She was excited that Corbin would join her in this mission and had similar goals that she did. She and Corbin went out to dinner to celebrate their future, and while there, Corbin proposed to Collette. Although it came as no surprise, the pair were still overjoyed, and rushed home to tell Collette's grandmother Zoe. Tears of joy shone in Zoe's eyes as she welcomed Corbin to the family.
Not long after, the Corbin became Corbin Bristol in a small backyard ceremony with Zoe and a few close family friends. Collette had booked a honeymoon to the Far East as a wedding present for Corbin, giving them the opportunity to return to the land where they met, and also where Corbin was from.
After returning home from the honeymoon, Collette and Corbin got down to the serious business of life. Collette quickly moved up the ranks of the Education Career, using her College Degree as leverage. She garnered promotion after promotion and easily reached the top, becoming the Eductation Minister for all of Redwood!
Unfortunately, as often is the case, tragedy follows joy. The day after Collette was given her new position, Zoe was called to the greater beyond.
Collette's grief was relieved only when she found out that she was pregnant. She knew her grandmother had believed in her plans to establish their family in Redwood, and having children was the main way to accomplish that. Besides, family had always been the most important thing to Collette, and her mother.
Nine long months later, Collette went into labor and gave birth to twins! Collette chose the name Sydney for the girl, and Corbin named their son Ian.
Life continued for the Bristol's, and Corbin became increasingly successful at his Journalism job, providing essential support for the family while Collette was on maternity leave from her job. Too soon, the twins were celebrating their birthday's and becoming toddlers. Interestingly enough, on their birthday, Collette and Corbin found out they were expecting again! Secretly, Collette hoped they weren't having twins again. She had decided that she wanted the family to be carried on by girls, since that was how it had been from the start. Collette decided that if the new baby was a little girl, it would take the pressure off Sydney in case she wanted to do something else with her life. All in all, she thought this new baby was a good thing. Despite the positive thinking, Corbin and Collette took measures to make sure this was their last pregnancy.
